Stop Words
Some search engines do not record extremely common words in order to save valuable storage space or to help speed up site searches. These are known in the industry as "stop words" and can sometimes include common terms such as 'web', 'internet', etc. Check to make sure that the search engine you are submitting to actually supports the use of the keywords you are using.
While it is true that search engines do block some words, it is fewer words than many believe. The easiest way to find out if a word you want to use will be ignored or not is to simply search for that single word in the engine you are submitting to.
